The Del Mar Horse Park is a very well known and popular show ground in Southern California. Just about two miles from the ocean, “Showpark”, sits on 65 acres and has 400 permanent show stalls. It also has three sand arenas used for hunters and equitation, and two grass fields –one being a grand prix ring– for jumpers, big hunter classes, and equitation. Showpark also offers a covered, lighted arena, a dressage ring and four training arenas. The large banks by the main Grand Prix field host VIP areas, grandstands, vendor spaces, and sponsor tents. A very unique feature at showpark is the Grand Prix ring’s bank and grob. These obstacles are put to use in both hunter and jumper derbies.
Showpark also hosts many namely classes such as the Olympic trial for the United States Equestrian Team, the annual West Coast Junior Hunter Finals, CPHA Foundation finals, and the qualifying class for the North American Junior Young Rider Championships.
Because the North County area is densely populated with riders and competitors, Showpark is also one of the most convenient –as well as enjoyable– venues in Southern California. It consistently hosts shows year round and is very easily accessible to those in the Del Mar, Rancho Santa Fe, San Marcos, and Bonsall/Fallbrook areas. With the gorgeous facility, convenient location, and top notch events, It’s no wonder that the Del Mar Horse Park attracts so many riders, vendors, and sponsors alike.
