The 2016 Del Mar National Horse Show will be filled with entertainment and thrill this year. It will be lively and full of bustling riders and their horses. Because this three week long show will be so full of events and classes, we here at California Equestrian Properties have provided a schedule in order to keep you updated on all the events happening at this show.
To get to the showgrounds, take the Villa de la Valle exit off the I-5 and head west toward Jimmy Durante Boulevard. Turn left at Jimmy Durante Boulevard and proceed straight. If you are a participant in this event, take an immediate right into the “Stable Gate”. All other spectators must park in the main lot. [map id=”2″]
The show will commence on Thursday April 21,2016. The Durante and Del Mar arenas will have their first classes bright and early at 7:30 am. The San Diego arena will open its gate at 8:00 am. Every day, each ring opens at a relatively different time, so whether you are riding or watching, make sure to check the times of the different arenas. Below is the full weekly schedule.
Dressage Week will kick off with the $50 FEI Pony Team Test on Thursday, April 23rd. There are countless amounts of classes to see and many prestigious events will be held. Additionally, during the afternoon of Friday, April 28, 2016 there will be an exhibitors party in the main arena during the Grand Prix. Below is a list of all the happenings during Dressage Week.
The final week of the Del Mar National Horse Show will begin Tuesday, May 3 at 8:00 am in the Del Mar Arena with the $250 Five-Year Old class. The San Diego Arena will commence bright and early at 7:30 am with the Green and Regular Conformation Models. The Durante Arena will open at 8:00 am with the Low Hunters. There will also be an Exhibitor Welcome Party on Friday, May 6,2016 at 4:00 pm.
